Guest：As Mary Poppins would say 'practically perfect in every way' We first came here in June 2011 and have been coming back ever since. It is our little slice of paradise. It literally is 5 minutes from the Airport but you are certainly not disturbed by aircraft. Rooms are spacious, cleaned every day and supplied with everything you could possibly need. The pool and surrounding areas are cleaned every day with no need to put towels on loungers at the crack of dawn!! There are plenty to go round. The bar and seating area are in the shade and there is a lovely breakfast and lunchtime menu. There is a superb taverna across the road and several within walking distance. We would recommend a car if you wish to go further afield although there are buses if you want to go 'native'. The best bit we have saved to last - Voula and her lovely family. Nothing is ever too much trouble and it is more like home from home and feels as if you are visiting friends rather than just going on holiday. Would I recommend it - Yes definitely ....... but don't tell everyone!!!!!

Guest：We have just completed our first visit to Kefalonia. We chose Marketos Apartments after some excellent feedback from my wife's relations, who have visited many times before, and we were not disappointed!! Being situated in Svoronata, about a 10-minute taxi ride away from the airport, surprisingly without having too much intrusion from the noise from it. The apartments were spacious and very clean. The pool and bar area behind the main building were also very clean. Excellent food was served at breakfast and lunchtime, and the bar was open all day for hot and cold refreshments. But the stars of the show were Voula (owner) and her daughter, Esme, who could not have been more welcoming and attentive for the whole week, more than willing to engage in conversation if you so wished or happy to leave you in peace and enjoy the tranquility if not. I would also point out that the attitude of the local population reflects this kindness across the board, everyone seemed pleased to serve even though we were at the tail end of the season. I would advise the hiring of a car (of which there are plenty locally) for some or all of your stay, to visit other parts of the island, as public transport is limited. We soon learned that my wife's relations were not alone in making Marketos their go-to holiday destination for many years with multiple families going back time after time which speaks volumes for Voula’s kind attitude to her guests and willingness to go the extra mile to make the stay very special. Needless to say, we look forward to joining them, by returning again in the future to this little piece of heaven.
Guest：We visit Kefalonia multiple times a year, and we would stay here again in a heart beat! We picked this hotel as its close to the villa our family own. So was purely based on location. However, we were really impressed with these apartments. The photos do not do it justice! They definitely need updating on here. The room was huge, clean, the biggest bed and lovely little private terrace. We had the resident cat visit us every morning and evening (10/10 service) PS. If you dont like cats, Kefalonia is not your Island!
